Valentine’s Day Dessert Recipe Tour
This blog post is part of the Valentine’s Day Dessert Recipe Tour hosted by my friend Emma at Loving Grace Home. Be sure to read all the way to the end of the recipe for more delicious Valentine’s Day treats from my blogging friends.
Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
Steps
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-In a large bowl add peanut butter, sugar & egg
-Mix until well combined

-Spoon about a tablespoon of the dough into your hands and roll into a ball. Place onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Here are the silicone baking mats that I use https://amzn.to/3ty5tB6
-Continue doing this until there is no more dough.

-Use a fork to press down the cookies. Turn the fork 90 degrees and press down again to create that classic peanut butter cookie design

-Bake for 15-18 minutes
-Allow the cookies to cool on baking sheet completely before eating or moving. Because this is a very soft cookie you want to allow it to cool and set so it doesn’t crumble.
-Now that’s what I call and simple peanut butter cookie. Enjoy!

Tips:
-Add a small sprinkle of coarse or flaky salt to the top of the cookies before baking and it will really amp up the flavor
-For a fun twist you can melt 1/4 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave. Pour the melted chocolate into a zip lock bag, snip the corner of the zip-lock with scissors and drizzle the chocolate over the cookies for chocolate drizzled peanut butter cookies.
